Why Doesn't NASA Launch Trash Into the Sun

We have a major trash problem here on Earth, I mean, have you seen those pictures of "Trash island"? If we don't do something soon, trash could become a serious problem for every single person on the planet. Why not just shoot the trash into space, or better yet, send all that garbage straight into the sun. That'll teach it. And while that sounds like a plausible solution to our waste management problem, once you look at the logistics you realize it's insanely expensive to launch trash into space, let alone reach the sun!

  • Paying for the stuff maybe expensive, but the price is totally worth it if it means getting rid of all this trash. Because honestly, this would be much better than just burning them in incinerators. Although we could have done that with a Volcano, but it would be worse than just burning trash in a common incinerator.
