  • We shoulda beat the Cubs in 2016. Who ended up winning it all. Bochy shoulda never pulled the pitcher through 8. Was solid and than the wheels fell off. Woulda been another even year. 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016...

  • Been a Giants fan since Willie Mays roamed centerfield at Candlestick. Bobby (NOT Barry) was my favorite Bonds. The three World Series championships were pure magic. And then they pull the kneeling bullshit. I'm done.

  • I remember the 2010-2014 days like it was yesterday, even tho I was a little kid. I will never forget staying up past my bedtime in 2nd grade to listen to Matt Cain's perfect game on my radio hiding under the covers. I remember celebrating every World Series win with my family, the WS era might be calmed for now, but the Giants will win another World Series again

  • Giants built their teams very well during that time period. Focused on pitching and key positions and built them through the farm system. That hard work created a great dynasty.

  • God knows I hate Joe Buck with a raging passion. But it is his voice from an October night in 2014 that still gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up. When I hear the call, I remember exactly where I was. It was October 16, 2014. I was sitting in a fairly quiet TGI Friday’s in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, deep in the home of the Boys in Blue. I’m sitting in the bar area, the only person wearing a Giants hat, intently watching the Giants and the Nats battle for the NL Pennant. Michael Morse has reinvigorated my hope that my Giants could pull this off. And then, with two men on, bottom of the ninth, I hear the words: “Travis Ishikawa-HITS ONE INTO RIGHT!” And I went mental, banging on the table, yelling, everything. I never even looked around. The adrenaline and catharsis took over and I reveled in it. As far as I was concerned, the Giants might as well have won the World Series already. That, to me, is as iconic a moment as MadBum’s Game 7 relief. That is a moment I will never forget; a moment I will be telling my grandkids about.

  • From about 2008-2017, I was the guy you'd know who would watch 100+ games a year from start to finish and know the bio of every single player on the roster. That's faded over the last 3 years or so, but watching this video, and not being able to watch any baseball at all right now, has made me realize how much I miss witnessing the soul of this team. The thing about winning 3 in 5, the thing that was just different about this dynasty, was that the giants were never considered the dominant team. Zito's contract had proven to be a bust, Lincecum was passed his prime after 2011, and pablo had the consistency of a roulette wheel. But through the playoffs it always seemed like the key players would buckle down and just show the true grit that existed in this team. It's impossible to fully describe what the Giants have meant to San Francisco, but I for one think they have been the most consistently cherished aspect of our community for the past several decades.
