  • Djokovic: we got our asses totally kicked. We couldn’t do diddly poo offensively, we couldn’t hit a serve, we couldn’t hit topspin, we couldn’t slice, we didn’t try to slice, we couldn’t stop the backhand, it sucked, the 5th set it sucked, we couldn’t return, everytime he returned he got points, we got our asses totally kicked that 5th set.

  • Unfortunate this match had to be played like that. It wasn't very fun to watch. Djokovic still made it a close match. I would have preferred to see both players at their finest rather than the momentum swing every time they switch sides. French Open please get a roof. These top athletes shouldn't have to keep leaving and coming back for hours and consecutive days because you don't have the proper facility. Even if Novak made it to the final, he would have had to face nadal with residual effects from playing on/off for hours consecutive days. Unfair to say the least. Thiem would have pushed a 5th set and had a better shot if French open had their shit together.

Dj has to keep his confidence up because he cannot let an other GS to Nadal.. frankly if He would have played the final maybe that would be an other story. • Congrats to Thiem, but we all know this was far from Djokovic's best and I came there to watch a full arsenal of each player, not inability to even serve or keep your eyes fully opened. The weather shouldn't be an excuse, as it afected both players, but these kind of vis major conditions are producing (un)fortunate situations on court, so we're not seeing the maximum of player's game, but game influenced by strong wind. You can't control the weather but you can control organization. For the most part it was unconfortable both for players and for us to watch. Think we would watch a better quality tennis and much more fair semi's if the organizators were more thoughtfull, regardless of the result. Win is a win, just think we would all enjoy the real tennis more, if the match was handled better.

He should try and get to that tally in next 3 years.

You can’t use novaks form at the indian welsh to determine how he’ll perform at the us open. These guys are professionals
