It was a lovely dance, but I think the music was too fast, and that gave the dance a rushed feeling that I thought took away from the romantic feeling that they were going for.

Monica just doesn’t do it for me, her performances are super lackluster😴
Val is the best, but Monica is just too stiff to get into the dances. She seems to move from pose to pose while he dances around her. I imagine all male dancers on the show get SO tired of being whipped in the face by flying hair. The stylists could create sleek and effective hairdos to cut out all the hair flips.
She is not a very expressive person already, so I think it's a bit awkward because she's tough lol, can't stop seeing her as a coach. Also Idk if it's her or the make up and hair department but they always do her wrong with the hair in the face, that's something very annoying to me lol. But those hips were goooood!

She's improved technically, but I didn't think this rumba was that sexy or sensual it was pleasant to watch, but I prefer a sensual romantic rumba.

They should have swapped hers and Jeannies scores. It was good but Jeannie deserved those 9’s more than she did.

You can go to Skai insta, she update her rehearsals dance. And it was a lot of harder choreo, I really wanted her mistake wasn't happened, because the dance was so good and with lot of potential
She has pretty good technique, but the problem is that she doesn't seem to connect to the routine like some of the other contestants do. Her face seemed very stagnant the whole time.
Was SHOCKED that she scored so high last week. But this week, too? Clear judge bias. And why? Lol seriously, she's worse than Vernon and Nelly.

I don't see how this is 2 points better than Jeannie's rumba. I actually prefer Jeannie's.

A lot of 9s and 8s. Let’s see if I agree. The facial expressions aren’t great. But it’s got a lot of content I suppose. Maybe I just don’t like the rumba it seems as I feel bored, but I understand that this for a rumba it has a lot of technical content. This is where a pint 5 would help (8.5) but I will have to round it up. A 9!

They don't! I just read someone saying that she was worse than Vernon and Kelly 😂 I don't care about her if I'm honest but out of all the people that performed a latin dance, her performance was the best of the night in terms of technique. Hands down
A lot of people find it hard to connect with her and that’s understandable but I feel people need to consider that she’s just a cheerleading coach and isn’t in the entertainment industry. For someone who is rarely on camera and has no performance background, she’s trying her best and you can’t ignore that she’s not doing what she can. It’s fair not to be connected with her, but if you watched Cheer, you would know that in a place where she’s confident and comfortable, her personality is much more vibrant. Just a thing to think about before people say she was overscored cause she was boring

Actually yes! The technique is much much better and there was not that much rumba content in Nev's routine to begin with.

If there's another season of Dancing With The Stars after the current season... three things are needed 1. Each contestant has to be a member of the group Now United. 2. The show needs a new host....preferably Tom coming back or someone who will be equally as good as him. 3. Music that is actually ballroom music.

She is totally overscored week after week. She is so stiff and disconnected. She looks like she’s over it and wants to go home.

I actually surprisingly liked this dance. I feel like we got to see more of Monica’s personality. She seemed more comfortable. Also the choreo was much better this week.
Maybe a lot of you should watch Cheer so you can get to know Monica before passing your harsh judgements. She’s a beautiful person and you would come to see that she pours her heart and soul into everything she does from her family, her coaching at Navarro, her love for her athletes and now into DWTS. She is the kind of dancer I love to see on DWTS... no previous experience and yet she constantly improves because of her hard work and dedication! Be kind everyone!
I think Monica is a good dancer; she can definitely pull off the choreography. However, she lacks the ability to form a connection with the viewer. I don’t feel anything when I’m watching her. Technically, I think the 9s were probably deserved (at least 8s were deserved), but dancing is about more than just the technical aspects. It requires the dancer to perform and Monica doesn’t do that. I think she would be great if she showed some emotion when she danced or demonstrated some strong chemistry with Val.

I do think she is also growing in the emotional aspect, but I also feel like her dance in week 1 was way more emotional... I've heard she got a lot of "hateful" comments though, so that might have something to do with it
