    • @Andrew Wilken It's not the fact that it was $400, it's the fact he could throw away $400 for virtually no reason and not care about it.

  • Sports bettors (I am one) can be really stupid sometimes. You get such strong opinions about hedging a big wager like this... or when you are waiting for that 8th leg of a massive parlay. The decision is very easy for me... of course you hedge. But only the amount of your wager to make sure you do not lose. So in this case I would have bet Bruins to win for $400. Okay so Blues win and you only collect a net $10k rather than $10,400. Who the fuck cares? Actually I would have bet Bruins to sin $800 just to make sure I had a winning night.

    James BarrickJames BarrickVor Monat
    • Vince Ventura Don’t be a jack ass... so I made a typo I said 10 K when I meant 100 K. I’ve been wagering probably since before you were born. Very simple to hedge for $400 or maybe $800 in a one game situation the blues were an underdog it’s an easy decision.

      James BarrickJames BarrickVor Monat
    • guy he won 100k , i dont think you understand what hedging means or how betting actually works...your saying bet hedge and bet the bruins and you will walk away with 10k instead of 10,400? no dude thats not how it works because the odds have drastically changed and your math is awful

    Andre RiterAndre RiterVor Monat
    • Andre you clueless. Sure the NBA MLB and NFL are more popular in TV Ratings. Hwever you must be related to Stephen A Smith. Hockey is not dead. Read my comments to another clueless poster day after game 7 of the 2019 Cup Finals. Just because ESPN says so, there are more hockey fans than you think. I bet if they ever lost the TV contract to the NBA or NFL, they would give it less coverage as well. You realized the 2019 Cup Game 7 drew over 10 Million Viewers in the US which is the one of the most watched hockey games (other than the Winter Olympics)in American History. That is a fact look it up. That 2019 Cup Finale had more viewers than almost all of this year's NBA playoffs (other than the 2019 NBA Finals)on TV i.e TNT or ESPN/ABC. Purple if you hate hockey that is cool. With that said, don't "diss" those that are hockey fans. Its more popular in America than you think.

    • na nobdody likes a team that is so scared to skate with a puck that they play 1-4 and just lay in front of the net while being literally manhandled the entire series and game. relying on a rookie goalie that has played less then a season in the league so nobody picked up on his tenedencies yet to expliot, and him literally single handley winning them the cup, the bruins are sucha better hockey team its laughable that st louis will get its name on the cup, ive never seen a team get so many lucky bounces and have less skill then the blues this year. their almost 10 year captain and anchor of the team couldnt even make a roster spot on the bruins in game seven of the cup, and hed still be a top three forward on the blues. Rask played awful gave up 2goals on 2 shots and the bruins couldnt recover, the bruins outshot the blues 16-2 in the in the first period and the blues had puck possession for a whole 49 seconds the entire period..

    • PurpleYellowFan 10 million viewers last night buddy. Don’t hate on the NHL just because their players are tougher and more down to earth than nba players and their league is more competitive and takes more skill. It’s okay to like more than one sport. The NHL actually has higher attendance than the nba. The NHL is much more popular than you are giving it credit for and the reason it isn’t on ESPN is because the league has a tv contract with nbc instead. Long story short, don’t be a cunt, it’s okay to watch both the nba and nhl. I do it and I love both leagues. If you weren’t so ignorant and you actually took time to watch the NHL playoffs you would know that they are the best in all of sports

This is a guy who does not really understand value. Good for him, but if this futures bet is any indication, winning the $100k might be the worst thing that could have happened to him.
