I honestly don't see what Carrie Ann was talking about because Kaitlyn didn't look like she gave up because she kept going, she would have stopped or would have missed some steps if she gave up but she did look tired and possibly was a bit slow but overall she still came out and danced even though she seemed more tired than giving up. My score- 8/10 because she was in character slightly, the steps were there just not as much attack as I wanted. I do feel though that Kaitlyn is really strong and has the skills to make it through to the finals though.
Not terrible and I enjoyed it. I'm also certain Kaitlyn gave it her all. But on a technical level it was a bit jerky and the costumes didn't display the dancer's ability as well. If you want a really great DWTS dance to this song try Evanna Lynch and Keo's Halloween night dance. Now THAT was electric!
Is it just me or is Carrie Ann being hard on the bachelorette's. Like she was hard on Hannah from last season for being to 'cheerleady' and her freestyle had a cheerleading portion in it and she won. They should replace Carrie Ann
If you turn the sound off and look at the performance , it's obvious there is a lot of paso doble content and it's executed very well. Maybe not her best dance , but the 7 is insulting. Other contestants were scored much higher and they were just shuffling around. I'm my opinion , Carrie Ann doesn't hate Kaitlyn , but she definitely has something against Artem. Artem is the most underrated Pro and one reason why I still watch this show that is becoming more and more ridiculous. He finally got a decent partner this Season , so I hope he gets a chance at the Mirrorball. I know that he and Carrie Ann used to date a long time ago but sour grapes much ??

Her costume made her look a bit devilish especially the Vamp Teeth but her dancing (only IMO ) fell short . No Chemistry or Passion it was Flat. All teeth and arms , that’s all I noticed.

Kaitllyn did more steps in this dance than Chrishell in all her dances together...and is scored lower....are the judges just looking at effects and costumes or the actual dancing?!

maybe wasn't her best dance but it wasn't as bad as Carrie Ann seemed to say. It really didn't look like she gave up, she danced right through it all. with her comment though about her prescription is in I sure hope Carrie Ann doesn't hold that against her. Good Luck Kaitlyn.

Kaitlynn's dance was difficult. Crishell's was very easy. Kaitlynn got 24 points. Crishell got 26. Geraldo could have done Crishell's dance. Where is the fairness ?
I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I can see where Carrie Ann is coming from. This was not Kaitlyn's best dance y'all. Her shoulders were stiff or tight and it made all her movements look clipped. I'm no ballroom expert but there's a distinct paso shaping that I'm used to seeing in the upper body and I never saw it from Kaitlyn. She was completely gassed at the end too which made the whole intensity she built up at the beginning just peter out into nothing. I feel bad for her too because she truly gave this dance everything. I could see the fire in her eyes and the attack she put into her movements. She played Cruella just the way I wanted to see it. This just wasn't her dance. I don't think it deserved a 7 for sure though. I would have given her an 8 but I can't fault Carrie Ann for speaking the truth as she saw it.

There were a few technical issues so the dance was not "great", but honestly the real problem is song choice and that costume is awful! Total distraction from the dance, performance, legs! When judging you really need to wear something that highlights the leg movements and footwork and the costume covered it all up! Very disappointing!

her dancing isnt exciting because you can see on her face that she is thinking about the moves instead of just dancing. she wants everything to be so perfect and loses herself in that.

Now that I can offer my thoughts since being a long time fan of DWS, I know the director and company wanted to revamp the former shows and that’s great, but all the various colored lighting being flashed from the “no audience “, and above and below and the stage, is very disturbing when one is trying to focus on the dancers and the music. I think most fans are more interested in the type of dance the contestants are doing than all those flashing lights. Another thing is the sound, the music over shadows what the host is trying to say in her presentation and interviewing the dancers. And the “canned” audience is much too loud and used at times when the host and judges are speaking. The DWS has almost been a show bordering on a broadway performance with real art, but now really needs some adjustments. There is always wonderful talent both in the professionals and the contestants! Please watch it from a TV setting!

I don't think the costume helped her any. She practiced with the boots on, but not that long cape. It had to be heavy. It kept wrapping around her legs. She was swinging it around. It probably made the dance that much more tiring.

The producers pick the songs and I think this song was horrible to a paso...if you turn the mute on this dance and then pull up a classic paso song and watch the dance that way it fits so much better

Probably an 8, but because of the lift got a 7; first nothing against her but I was watching Kaitlin legs and feet, the timing was off for a staccato beat and rhythm, she was ahead or late, and the actions looked forced, trying too hard. Still there’s time to improve. Keep going.

@llm8221 about Scores , in figure skating Olympic scoring when technical skills are tied, the judges look into the artistic scores who scored a little higher, the one who scored higher in artistic expression wins, check it out. In that sense gleb and Chris team scored higher than bristowe. Dwts contestants aren’t really ‘dancers’ -more who gradually engages the audience as Bobby bones case, he wasn’t the best dancer but he got more votes. Just enjoy! Kaitlin and nev have extensive dance background.
The issues isn’t so much Carrie Anne’s score in this context...but when you compare That she gave Chrishell’s paso a 9, with way less content and who also had a lift, then it becomes crazy!

I like Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer's tango to Disturbia better. I have to say that the singing for this version was actually better than for Lance and Lacey's. Mind you, this wasn't bad. It was just a bit meh for me.
