  • This is easily top 3 of the podcast videos by sky sports. Gary Neville is one of the best and most respected football pundits, and this blunt honesty is refreshing of course, but its amazing to see the first person view of actually happened, instead of trying to squash a half hour answer into the sentences that create a headline. Mostly these podcasts are complete damp squids and you can tell the idea behind it came from someone on a high payroll who's there for their technology experience, media experience or marketing experience, rather than someone who actually understands football or indeed sport. Let Geoff speak to them, it's the only marketable thing using technology you can profit from in the sports media. Enough of the click bait or pointless questions to try and drag out a convo. Ask carragher about his own goals. Ask rednapp about his broken legs. Ask mourinho about the sports bottles. Football is more than just money

  • Even after Spain you can't learn that in Alvaro, the tone is on the first syllable. Álvaro Negredo. It is even made easy for you. This applies to all commentators as well, why can't they learn foreign names properly, it is a matter of respect. Names that you use week in, week out in your work. There are elementary school level rules for pronunciation in every language, which you can learn in a few minutes, without speaking the language.

  • Gary, you spoke in this video about feeling duty bound to take the Valencia job because you were involved with Peter at Salford. But I’d like to know; why you? Why did he not not consider any of the other Salford owners for the Valencia managers job?

  • Has anyone noticed how Gary Neville’s time at Valencia is mocked and is accepted by Sky that his colleagues mock him for it, which he takes in good humour. I’d love to know how different the attitude towards his time at Valencia would be had he been on TV saying how much it ruined him and affected him mentally. I’d have thought a company like Sky, who have such high morals and ethics (Murdoch...), who are totally against racism, sexism, homophobia etc. are not more conscious of this..........

New football culture, new language and difficult situation. Although he is a great pundit, I hope he tries out again career in management. He certainly has the intelligence, humility and insights to do well as a manager.
