  • Got to do what you got to do, Domi. The situation ain't getting better soon. You can't be scared of the occasion. It's time knock out Djokovic again, like you knocked him out in 2017 RG Quarterfinal.

  • The last time Thiem played Djokovic at RG in 2017, he beat Djokovic in straight sets. He can beat Djokovic again, but he needs to play his best tennis.

  • Hey Buddy, Thiemacity! Your time is N-O-W! Don't think of next year... lest you shall live that way until it is all too late, for the flesh fades, the body withers (gets old)... Just do it now, if your heart is willing.... Good luck.... Blessings to the humble but mighty strong will of heart, even a champion's! Amen.

  • Thiem is a good player but to beat Djoker, still he isn't there for now. Thiem's strength is his machine stamina. His weakness : forehand, backhand, and game's tactic are all not special and these would give him a hard time when facing Djoker or Nadal. He would be pushed to run around from corner to corner all the time and never find his rhythm to stay on the semifinal. Poor thiem, you wont win RG again this year.

  • I adore Nadal and Federer, their accomplishments in tennis is a record. BUT I’d like Thiem to rise up and raise that trophy this time.

    Ramon GalvezRamon GalvezVor 4 Monate
  • It’s so true. He had to beat the best players in history to get grand slam. This is very unique in tennis history. Don’t know he has to call it lucky or unlucky.

    Richard HuangRichard HuangVor 4 Monate
  • is just unbelievable what those three continue to do. I guess the other players especially the younger generation are waiting for a break but Rafa Federere and Djoko are not giving it. Some other players just quit already and happy with whatever 2 o 3 wins they get. It is insane.

  • Thiem just summed up how great this era of tennis we're lucky to witness.. Three semi-finalists with more than 50 GRAND SLAMS..!!

    HimalayanHimalayanVor 4 Monate
    • @anocri He can do it!

      DNAngelDNAngelVor 4 Monate
    • Thiem put it more aptly. A guy like himself with 0 grand slams needs to beat two guys, each guy with 15 or more grand slams, one after the other.

      anocrianocriVor 4 Monate
    • Damn putting that way it is truly quite relevant.

    Peter LPeter LVor 4 Monate
    • Thiem is tougher to face, but if it was Thiem v Fed, it wud be close and Fed might end up winning cuz of his experience.

  • Dominik is playing great right now but has the bad mis fortune of playing Novak who playing great too. If Dominik survives Novak in the wings will be the the winner of Roger/Rafa who are both playing incredible too. To beat them all looks like an impossible task. Good luck.

    • @Masterdoctorgenius14 This was also Zverev's mistake today in the first set. Had multiple break points and a chance to serve for the first set. But Novak has that uncanny ability to raise his level whenever danger is lurking. Thiem will need to play his best clutch tennis to beat Novak tomorrow. Anything less than that will not do.

      GTSGTSVor 4 Monate
    • @Masterdoctorgenius14 I agree with this. When Dominik has defeated Rafa on clay, he took it to him. He played aggresive every ball and didn't allow Rafa to breath. When Dominik loses to Rafa he takes his foot off the pedal just enough to allow Rafa to dictate. That's what happened in Madrid against Novak. For Dominik to win he must play aggressive every point keeping Novak on Defense. Actually when Dominik tries to play safe he makes more errors.

      QGodofGods RulerOfAllQGodofGods RulerOfAllVor 4 Monate
    • @GTS Domi's mistake in Madrid was that he didnt take his chances. He was up in both sets.

      Masterdoctorgenius14Masterdoctorgenius14Vor 4 Monate
    • Their Madrid Masters match was quite revealing tbh. We learned in that match that while Domi has a powerful one-handed backhand capable of creating angles across the court, Novak's backhand is probably the most consistently reliable weapon in tennis. I expect tomorrow to be a battle of two very solid backhands.
