This game is a microcosm of Brees' performance since 2017 or 2018. He shows flashes of greatness some games, but plays like this for about a fourth of the season. When he has one of these bad games, Sean Payton doesn't change the play-calling. He lives and dies by Drew Brees' arm, even though he has a pro bowl running back who tied the single-game TD record. Also he had an O-line that run blocks almost to perfection unless the defense stacks the box like Tampa Bay did (not much you can do about that except pass the ball, BREES!! 🤬).

This might be the worst last game ever for a legend. Yeah, Marino got blown away. But this game showed Brees had been done for a while, and that offense was trying it's best to hide it these last couple seasons
