Solo Bushcraft Overnighter - Canvas Tipi Tent Campfire, Fork Carving, Open fire Cooking, Painting

Back at the tipi camp for some good times. I make a painting of it while being swarmed by flies and mosquitoes, eventually it started raining and they left. Mushroom season is here in full glory, i go looking for some yellow foot mushrooms and make a very tasty pasta dish with them. On this overnight trip I broke a wooden fork so i get to work on making a better one in hard wood.
New videos every week, thanks for watching!
Ric

  • I just can’t stop watching your videos! They make me feel calm and cozy and even to tell you the truth... I think I’m hooked up in bush crafting. There are so many things I want to ask you but unfortunately my English is really bad. Anyways. The most biggest mystery for me is... how you are not even a little bit afraid sleeping alone in the woods? Don’t laugh at me I am serious. I really wanna try overnighter but damn... alone? No way in hell... I have so much respect for your adventurous spirit.

    • Thanks. It’s more dangerous sleeping in a city than it ever is alone in a forest. Try. You won’t regret it. 👍

  • Do you know why I like your movies? Because we both like to eat well :)) Nature is important, contact with nature is important, adventure is important, detachment from the world is also important ... but it's all worth nothing when a person is hungry ... In fact in the forest it's about peace, quiet, clean air, loneliness and food ... Good food, made by yourself, even when the ingredients are from the supermarket. In the best restaurant it will not taste as much as in the forest by the fire, home-made food. Bonfire smoke, birdsong, the sound of trees and the hiss of fire - that's it!

  • Nice video, and LOL, in the first picture, the wok looked HUGE, and I thought:"Wow, now he is really going for it, no more fumbling around with maybe too small cook ware." - On the volume limit, so to say. When you grapped it, it did not look so big, but big enough for the food, for sure. :o) Also nice stove at app. 19,37 in. Really nostalgic looking. Nice day as usual. :o)

Stay safe.. GOD BLESS.

  • Love Your peaceful Videos! I wish I could draw like that. Respect! I've got some tipps against mosquitos: Search for some seeds of the Douglasia tree! They contain an oily substance that smells extremely like orange peel. Squeeze some of the seeds and rub it over Your skin and textiles. Mosquitos hate that smell! Some few might still land on Your skin, but most of them don't sting anymore. There is another and more radical method I know from scandinavian countries: They destill tar from birch bark. This ugly smudgy substance keeps even the most hungry pack of mosquitos away - but it stinks like hell!!

This carving is superb! Your framing of shots with in-focus foreground and out of focus action is original and interesting. I have wanted a tentipi since your tipi diaries. Seems like luxury accommodations after so many camps with your wondrous lavu. Outstanding video as always! Outstanding paintings as always!
